This is the featuresss and FAQ page for the Blue Mesa Software ™ rPOS 7.0.

The PIN PAD window

All features described on the FAQ page refer to the REGISTERED VERSION of Blue Mesa rPOS We have attempted to note (where possible) when controls would be turned off in the unregistered version.

The primary logon page of the Blue Mesa rPOS screen.

Allows security access the the program and controls user accessability and accountability

Accessss to the built in TIME CLOCK program to track employee time to the second. - REGISTERED VERSION

Ability to change the 410X220 pixel Large logo to your establishments logo - REGISTERED VERSION

 

The MAIN Window

The main window of the new version 7.0. This has barely changed since version 5 but some new features and changes.

The QUICK PAY button; which can be turned OFF for table service operation, allows quick order entry  and processing into the ticket database  - REGISTERED VERSION

The PROMO DISCOUNT button which is turned OFF in this picture is programmable with discount rates and is HOT SWITCHABLE on and off.  - REGISTERED VERSION 

The buttons you don't see have been turned OFF in the MENU EDITOR (included) There are a total of 13 MENU PAGE or MENU SECTION buttons on the left side and 42 MENU ITEM buttons. for a total of 546 MENU ITEMS

The LUNCH/DINNER buttons up in the TOP LEFT CORNER expand the possible MENU ITEM selections to 1090+  - REGISTERED VERSION 

People who are registered XCharge Clients can request up to 12 Popup MENU ITEM windows customization each popup window has 111 selections additional  - REGISTERED VERSION 

 CUST INFO button allows you to save customer information like delivery address and if used properly will allow printing of delivery information on the customer ticket  - REGISTERED VERSION

The MANAGER Window

This is the MANAGER window of the ALL in ONE version designed for Single or double terminal establishments. The CLIENT unit has a slight difference in that the DAY PROGRESS window is accessed from the SERVER and not each individual CLIENT.

Ability to access XCharge from inside the program directly controlled my MANAGER LEVEL security access only!  - REGISTERED VERSION

Ability to SPLIT an ITEM on the ticket so a table of people can SHARE the item cost  - REGISTERED VERSION

Ability to VOID a single item on a ticket  - REGISTERED VERSION

Full range of prebuilt ITEM/TICKET DISCOUNT buttons in all popular flavors!  - REGISTERED VERSION allows only COMP and 5%

For TABLE SERVICE the ORDER NUMBER feature can be turned on and reset on this page

 

The DAY PROGRESS window

 This is the DAY REPORT window opened from the MANAGER window. Possibly the ost exciting new feature in our POS v7.0 It was originally requested by a solid client of ours in Chicago as a way to keep track of items sold to gauge popularity. We have also included seeveral other features to track other parts of your transaction process. Not all the tracking is available in the UNREGISTERED VERSION so we will attempt to make note of that.

There are 14 COUNT MENU PAGE buttons along the bottom allowing you to count MENU ITEMS via MENU PAGE. - REGISTERED VERSION (unregistered allows only MENU PAGE 1 and ALL OPTIONS noted as MP X on this form) 

CASH REPORT shows you all CASH TRANSACTIONS in time range selected on the upper right side.

CREDIT REPORT shows you all CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS in time range selected on upper right side  - REGISTERED VERSION

VOID REPORT shows you what ITEMS or TICKETS were VOIDED and WHO voided them  - REGISTERED VERSION

COMP REPORT shows you what ITEMS were COMPED annd the VALUE of that COMP and WHO comped the item

DISCOUNT REPORT shows you what items were DISCOUNTED and WHO did it and HOW MUCH  - REGISTERED VERSION

Starting at the upper right side is a set of DATE CONTROLS that allow you to change the data that you would see in this window: TODAY through ALL and these refer to the tickets in the TICKET database.  - REGISTERED VERSION  allows only TODAY, LAST 3 (days) and LAST 7 (days)

CALENDAR button allows you to set a specific DATE RANGE of ticket data to VIEW  - REGISTERED VERSION

PRINT button allows you to print reports out on this unit via the attaced POS Printer and it is formatted for the 3" +/- roll paper that our POS program favors  - REGISTERED VERSION

This window will also be EXPANDED and included in the MANAGER program and should be even more functional in Blue Mesa rPOS version 7.5 All clients that purchase 7 will be upgraded FREE or notified that upgrade can be downloaded if they simply send an email to us from the contact page. REGISTRATION RESTRICTIONS will still apply!

 

The SPLIT WINDOW

Of note that SPLIT window hasa been expanded to support splitting to up to EIGHT additional tickets.  - REGISTERED VERSION  will only support splitting to ONE additional ticket

The PAY WINDOW

A few changesss to the PAY WINDOW should be noted. The CREDIT CARD buttons now more accurately in tune with the XCharge Credit Card acceptance and show the JCB Card as an acceptable card. Credit cards are turned off in unregistered version but since that goes without saying we never said that and the point is moot.

The SPLIT CASH button allows a customer paying by credit card to PAY IN CASH a portion of the ttransaction. The CASH payment will NEVER affectt the taxable amount and it MUST be useed BEFORE applying CREDIT CARDS.  - REGISTERED VERSION

ADDITIONAL NOTE ANOUT CLIENT / SERVER

In the UNREGISTERED Client/Servier verssion you can only have 1 CLIENT connect to the SERVER. We feel if you are big enough to need multiple stations then you are capable of paying to register the software. The limitattion will allow you to tesst the software on your system.

 

QUESTIONS:

 Q: I bought the AIO version... what if I want to switch to the client/server version later?

A: For non XCharge clientss this is a conundrum. XCharge clients can have either one FREE as long as they sign on to XCharge through our links. We will allow a site register download of either one to a registered customer. Your registration umber will work for either version oc Blue Mesa rPOS in its version series so just download the other version. BACK UP all DATA FILES beofre doing anything else if you have already configured them and email or call for support.

 Q: How easy is it to install the Client/Server version?

A: We make it as easy as possible. There is a program in the CLIENT directory that allows you to configure the correct IP address given to you from the server. We do reccomend you have someone help you set up your local network and STATIC IP ADDRESS on the computer acting as a SERVER but you don't really need HUGE Business hardware to do this. In the office we built a simple network with a ROUTER and some cables. Our server was a Compaq iPaq with a 800MHz Celeron CPU running Windows 2000. Worked great!

 Q: Do you have training videos to show my employees how to use your program?

A: Yes we do. We have tried to seperate them into logical steps but then we are reminded that we got a B- that Logic Operations class in College ‹Dang Harvard!!›  Link to TRAINING MOVIES is on the DOWNLOAD / ORDER PAGE you just came from. We are awaitng our Academy Award any moment now!

AA: As well there are basic TRAINING VIDEOS for how to use the BASIC FEATURES of the PAYCHECK or MENU EDITOR etc. More are being added all the time.

 Q: I don't want to get SPAMMED so why should I give you my information?

A: To the date I am writing this I have NEVER had anyone complain to me that I or XCharge has SPAMMED them. XCharge does not, to my knowledge, sell your email information. I do not do this either. I WANT customers, I don't want to tick them off!

 Q: I already have another Credit Card processor and they have LOCKED me in to a terrible contract... what can I do?

A: I would still give our credit card company a call. I have had clients just STOP using their old service... in ANY instance it won't hurt to let our Crdit Card Processing Partner quote you! And when your contract does expire you can switch to us and maybe actually be happy!

 Q: SO I don't switch but I do purchase... What are the lmitations on Tech Support or customization of the product?

A: Well purchasing wil unlock all features. You will get 45 days of free tech support from DATE of purchsae reported to me by our vendor. After that you can purchase a TECH SUPPORT CONTRACT for a small monthly fee of $10.00 a month per site. Customers of this TECH SUPPORT CONTRACT are also entitled to ALL UPGRADES and newer editions of this product for the life of their TECH SUPPORT CONTRACT. You will not be emailed this offer you must ASK for it by emailing SALES or Calling us from the CONTACT page

Changes to the product or customizations for XCharge customers who signed up through our site are free. All others must email a query of needs to SUPPORT from the CONTACT PAGE. Our base rate for adding the 111 item POPUP WINDOW to the MAIN program is negotiable. Adding a new feature or modification of features is also negotiable.
